The mobile rapid testing site will be returning to The Meadows, Sandhurst, for a further 4 testing days between 10am and 4pm. The additional dates are:
- Wednesday 12 May
- Wednesday 19 May
- Wednesday 26 May
- Wednesday 2 June
The mobile site will be offering on-site lateral flow tests for asymptomatic residents and community collect for those wishing to do the tests at home.
All individuals aged secondary school age and over in England are encouraged to test twice weekly to detect COVID-19 in those who show no symptoms in order to help stop the spread of the virus. It is important to regularly test even if you have been vaccinated as the vaccine doesn’t completely stop people from catching or passing the virus on.
Lateral flow tests are simple to do and the results are delivered in just 30 minutes. No appointment is necessary for the mobile rapid testing site. Rapid testing can also be done at one of the rapid testing sites in Bracknell Forest, while home test kits can be collected from the rapid test sites or from local pharmacies in order to test at home.

If a lateral flow test is positive you must self-isolate immediately and book a confirmatory PCR test at GOV.UK or by calling 119. People with symptoms must book a PCR test.
Charlotte Pavitt, Public Health consultant at Bracknell Forest Council said:
“Regular testing is one of the important tools that we have to safely progress through the roadmap and return to more normal times. Regular testing identifies individuals who may have the virus with no symptoms and who are unknowingly spreading it. It is very important that anyone who has the virus, or might have been exposed to it, avoids all social interaction for 10 days, as this will help stop the spread. By self-isolating when required, you are helping to protect others around you, reducing transmission and saving lives.”
