From Monday 12 April, in line with government guidelines, non-essential retailers within The Lexicon and across the borough will be reopening their doors for the first time in many months.
The Lexicon is ready for the anticipated increase in shoppers, with an enhanced cleaning programme. This includes fogging, hand sanitisers and signage to assist visitors to keep their distance from other shoppers.
Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration said:
“It’s been really exciting to see businesses prepare for reopening. It’s an extremely important time for our residents and businesses and I can’t wait for the borough to come alive again after lockdown.
“It’s vital that everyone continues to stick to the current rules, even if you have been vaccinated. When you’re out shopping or using leisure facilities always keep hands, face, space in mind to protect yourselves and the ones you love.
“The Lexicon and the council have worked incredibly hard to put measures in place to help keep you safe. Please follow the signage and be kind as you shop. Think local, shop local and support Bracknell Forest to help businesses recover from the pandemic.”
The Lexicon will open from Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm but visitors should also check opening hours with individual retailers before travelling.
Town centre facilities including toilets and the Changing Places facility will also be open during these hours, with social distancing measures and increased cleaning being carried out.
